Enjoy the luxury of this beautiful oceanfront condo including all brand new furniture! You will find travertine floors, granite counter tops in the kitchen, an island bar, and a bathroom with a custom walk in shower. There is a luxurious King Bed in the master bedroom and a Queen Sleeper/Sofa Bed with a comfy memory foam mattress in the living room. The overall feel of this unit is high end and boutique. This is our most requested condo for return guests!
From your lanai, walk steps to the water, heated swimming pool, BBQ area, or tennis facility. During whale season (end of December through April), watch the whales breach, blow and splash time after time. Better yet, get your swimming suit on and go for a swim, snorkel or surf! Find out for yourself why our guests keep coming back!.
The Kuleana Resort is the Hidden Jewel Of West Maui, with lush tropical grounds. The resort is oceanfront. Sometimes a small beach on either end of the property is available, depending on weather and oceanic conditions (a beach is not guaranteed). This impeccably landscaped paradise gives you the feeling of old Hawaii that you've always dreamed about!

Million Dollar View

Great Location and condo. Was updated with all the amenities needed including 2 beach chairs, beach towels, and some snorkel gear. The view was outstanding and I would defiantly rent here again. The only thing I would say is because the AC is in the bedroom window it gets a little warm in the Livingroom in the afternoons when the sun is coming in (not uncomfortably hot...just warm) Overall its a GREAT place to stay!!!!!

Maui Wowie at Kuhleana

Location of this unit wowed us! Once we opened the door to our unit our eyes locked in on the view of the ocean framed by green grass and palm tree. “Aloha, we are in paradise!” There were turtles swimming in the beach just steps from our lanai ! And we have never seen so many whales from our unit! The sandy beach just steps away from our unit comes and goes with the tide, but the water was warm and this was a great place to swim or snorkel or paddle board! The unit is well appointed. The mattress is very soft. The condos have a heated pool, shuffle board and tikis. At sunset there is the blowing of the conch shells. So fun, we are already talking about coming back! I wish I could say something to disuade you from renting this unit cuz I don’t want it to be booked up and not available for our next visit! Lol! Thank you for renting us this great place! Can’t wait to come back!

If you want to be close to the water you can't get any closer! Absolutely beautiful. Not much "beach" this year, but the location is stunning, the property is clean and well done, and the property management team was absolutely on top of it. A great stay!

This property is exactly as shown in the pictures! you cannot get any closer to the ocean! It is well maintained, and very quiet - the only problem we had was with the security - we were ticketed for not parking directly between the lines lol - other than that - it was absolutely amazing

Truly paradise. Very comfortable for 2 people. We loved sitting on the Lanai in the morning watching for sea turtles and whales. It’s truly amazing to be able to go swimming, snorkeling right out your door. We loved to watch the paddle boarders. We also enjoyed being able to swim in the pool every afternoon and meet wonderful people. My husband’s favorite place to grill in the world in the “common” area watching the sunset, whales and having conversation with others. We are so appreciative to be able to stay. Mahalo.

Best view on the property!

We are NOT resort people, we like the freedom to be able to cook for ourselves. Our unit, in my opinion, was the BEST on the property. Literally feet from the beach and a super short walk to the pool. The actual location is close enough to local shops for a walk to coffee every morning, but still far enough away from things that it's very quiet. Parking is plentiful and safe. Gorgeous sunsets!

Absolutely the most amazing vacation ever. The unit was clean and staff very helpful. Only 20 ft to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. Cannot wait to come back. Kuleana 706 - Enjoy Island Paradise!

Aloha! Absolutely our favorite place to chase rainbows and immerse in the sun, sand and sunsets. It was truly an island paradise with its lush tropical grounds, secluded beach, lounging turtles, breaching whales and colorful panoramic oceanfront view. Want to stay in and cook, no problem as you have all the kitchen equipment you'll need or adventure out as there are endless places to eat just minutes from the property. And, staying connected when you're not enjoying the pool or ocean is a breeze with cable TV in both the bedroom and open area along with fast reliable internet service.

Fantastic location for seeing Whales & Sea Turtles

We absolutely love staying at Kuleana. Our favorite place to sit is out on the Lanai listening to the waves 50 feet away. Watching for whales breach and green sea turtles pop there heads out of the water and them come out on the beach in the afternoon to sun themselves. We love swimming and snorkeling in the ocean as well as enjoy swimming in the husband loves grilling Maui Maui ( purchased from Safeway) while watching the sunset and talking with the other grillers. As the sun sets, we enjoyed listening to a few people playing on the conch shells. We appreciated the ambience of the tiki torches being lit each evening.
The 1 bedroom condo is neatly furnished and very comfortable.

We loved our stay! The condo was absolutely beautiful and helped make our Maui vacation a memorable one. There is a beach within steps of the condo and a snorkeling reef right off the beach. We swam with turtles daily and loved watching them from the lanai. We are a family of 4 and never felt on top of each other. The condo is spacious and beautifully decorated.

SPECTACULAR CONDO ON THE BEACH at KULEANA 706
Kuleana 706 is awesome! The condo is ultra comfortable and is literally steps from the beach! The grounds at Kuleana are immaculately kept. The condo had everything we needed and is perfect for two people. We loved everything about it. The pool was super clean, not crowded and great to swim laps in. We enjoyed having dinner on the lanai at sunset. In fact, the lanai furniture is brand new and quite elegant. Every day was magical ... we enjoyed every minute of it and didn't want to leave. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here. This condo is a gem!

Nice surprise!

First trip to Kuleana - not sure what to expect. We were very happy with Kuleana and this unit. 708 was very clean, nicely decorated, very well situated in the resort. We noticed the screen door did not operate well, and within 15 minutes the manager had maintenance there to fix it. The following morning we called them to say we were having trouble with the operation of the sofa bed. Again, within 1/2 hour someone appeared to explain how the sofa bed works. I was very impressed with everything about this unit.

Holiday family vacation

We absolutely LOVED staying at this small resort! The location of the condo is PERFECT also. It was quiet being at the end condo, easy access to the water and beautiful views of the sunset. We loved grilling out at the resort grilling area and meeting others staying there too. We also enjoyed walking into town to go to the Farmers Market, Boss Frogs rentals and the coffee shop. There were some supplies missing when we arrived, but the management got them to us very quickly:) We look forward to coming back again!

Wonderful peaceful quiet and beautiful

The condos are right on the beach - very very quiet and peaceful. This is not a "resort" so for those that want to listen to the ocean and not TV or music or a band or other noisy quests - this is your destination. If you want that please go to one of the high rise resorts.
Pros: quiet peaceful number one comment. Walking distance (10-15 min) to food shopping, ABC, farmers market (awesome) and a town beach for more placid water. Turtles turtles everywhere. Laundry facilities on site (coin). Very nice pool, tennis courts. Recycling bins. Kitchenette is well stocked (dishes et al) and has coffee tea and some spices. Beach towels chairs and umbrella and noodles! Bed was comfortable and AC not needed if you left bedroom window and sliding glass open for cross breeze. Watching the sun rise reflected on Lanai, then watching the sun set directly in front of you was absolute perfection.
Cons: Kitchen is dated but geesh - everything works so buck up. You don't need high end appliances to make coffee and chill your beer. Use the ice cube trays - they work well. Only real comment is there has been erosion to the beach as with all beaches everywhere in the world. Low tide will give you a apron of sand to relax on. Snorkeling is good but you will be better going to more protected coves. Not a big deal but temper your expectations and stay somewhere else if you want a pure calm sandy beach. You'll pay up for it.

Wonderful stay in Maui!

We loved our time in West Maui! Our condo was absolutely perfect with direct access to wonderful grounds, the beach, and the most amazing views. The condo was stocked with everything we could have needed and more (including beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, etc). The location worked well for us, minutes from anywhere we needed to go and all the conveniences nearby. I highly recommend for a couple or even small family.

On the Water in Maui

We loved the condo and don't think any unit there would have given us a better view with a more convenient few steps to the ocean! The pool was also very close by and other outdoor showers. The folks at Epic were super, especially Nadia and Aimyee. Had a few things we had to call about, no parking pass left in the unit and the screen door on the back patio would not lock. We found the condo to hava everything we needed for the beach and it was pretty clean except for the floors, I think the housekeeper had been sweeping them and not mopped them in a while. We hope to return this winter to see the whales.

Cute & Cozy - perfect for our 1st trip to HI

The proximity to the water is unbeatable. Literally steps to the beach/ocean. The turtles would come up on the sand to sleep in the early evenings, it was amazing! The unit was clean, updated, and cozy. The sofa bed is starting to wear, so it wasn’t that comfy for the kids, but the king size bed in the room was great. There is no A/C in the kitchen/living area, so it gets pretty hot in that room if the curtains are not closed. We found that we had to run the small bedroom unit and close up all the curtains in order to cool the space. The nights were much better. Overall I’m very satisfied!

Best Condo for seeing Sea Turtles and Whale watching

The condo is comfortable and well stocked with boogie boards, beach chairs and a snorkeling set.
We loved having coffee on the Lanai watching the sea turtles.
It was so much fun swimming and having a beach.

Great family vacation

Location Location Location! This place is in the perfect location. There's a sandy beach with shaded areas and the snorkeling as this beach is better than the big boat snorkel tours. Kuleana 706 is ideal because the beach is just a few steps away from the patio. The condo itself was comfortable. It was the perfect size for myself and my two kids (ages 15 & 11).

40th bday in Hawaii
Beautiful location just steps from the beach, condo with high-end details, and wa family-friendly community. Sunsets are perfect here. It was an almost perfect stay. Book this room. Now. The resort is gorgeous. The view from this room is breathtaking, and you walk out directly onto a small beach. We honestly enjoyed this beach more than any other we visited on Maui. And when you read other reviews talking about turtles, they aren't lying. There is a turtle sanctuary steps from this condo where we counted up to 20 at once! The room itself won't blow you away, but it was clean and had everything you needed so who cares! All the other owners and guests were very friendly. Overall amazing place to stay on your time in Maui.

A Perfect Place

This was our first time at this resort and it was a perfect place to stay. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The unit was exactly as described. Ground floor, walking out to a nice grassy area and just steps from the small beach area. Lots of turtles to watch. We loved the quietness of the resort and the fact you could walk to a small plaza,farmers market, and park. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location on a quiet beach

We've stayed at several places on Maui and Kuleana 706 has the best location of them all. Not only are you just steps away from the beach but there is also a large tree directly in front of the unit that provides shade. The unit has A/C but we just left the front and back doors open to allow a nice breeze to blow through. Compared to many beaches on Maui, this one is VERY quiet. There are tons of turtles out front. Just about every day we had one or two climb up on the beach to sleep for a few hours. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was great. The property manager (Stacey) was super nice and responded to emails very quickly. We also met the owner while we were there and she too was very, very nice. Great experience overall! We will definitely be returning to Kuleana 706!

First the noted in overall questions. Needs Improvement: Being a property owner myself, I have some suggestions: INVEST in A) more towels. We were a party of four, staying for seven days and there were only four bath towels; B) Beach towels; plastic cups/glasses (obvious reasons;) plastic wrap/aluminum foil; Coffee maker about shot, stove outdated, knives dull, visiting ants; air condition unit spit water, loud and not really ok - c'mon, 1 oz of shampoo and conditioner for four heads is not 26 inch tresses could have used that up in one shampoo! If you just remember that airlines have weight limits and comforts we take for granted are opportunities for you to shine... <3 Use a solid RENTAL AGREEMENT and SECURITY DEPOSIT. Travelers don't mind paying for a great place.

The location of this condo is ideal - just steps from the water, a private beach, and turtles popping out of the water every day! The crashing of the waves on the rocks makes for a very private feeling - it's hard to hear anyone nearby. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. The ac in the bedroom was really helpful since the bedroom does feel a little stuffy with limited airflow. We spent our waking time on the lanai and in the living room/kitchen which allowed us to hear the waves and watch the birds and the ocean. We did see whale spouts too! Short drive to do many amazing beaches - it was a magical escape.

A Piece of Paradise

Paradise!
We had an absolute wonderful trip to Maui! This condo was perfect. It was very clean, well equipped, and within 10 steps of the beach!! I could not have asked for anything additional. My husband and I spent 90% of our time on the lanai, watching sunsets and seeing the sea turtles everyday- i will for sure be returning to condo 706!

We were overjoyed with the location of this property. We could sit outside our door and watch the sunsets, enjoy a coctail and could walk just a few steps to the private beach. It was pure paradise. My husband and I were in the condo for a week. It is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Checkin was easy with the coded entry, parking was convenient and the grounds were very nice. Pool, tennis, grills, etc. Being on the ground floor was exceptional, sitting in our beach chairs on the beach or on the grass outside our lania. We swam and surfed right out our door, saw whales and turtles. The location was also convenient to Lahaina without being in the busy fray. Couldn't have been better. Perfect for two!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kuleana 706. The location was great & the condo in excellent condition. We thoroughly enjoyed the views from sun up 'til sun down, and appreciated having beach chairs, boogie boards & beach towels. Because we cooked every day, I would like to suggest that you provide pot holders for taking hot items out of the oven and a few more dish towels. We also could have used some Windex (or similar cleaning agent) for cleaning the glass table and counter tops as the cooking/eating surfaces become dirty fairly quickly. We also would have liked something (like a dish pan??) to rinse the sand off of our feet before entering the condo from the beach. Overall, I would recommend this condo/property. We had great communication with quick response time from the condo owner, and the onsite manager at the condo was very helpful. Thank you!

Relaxing and rejuvenating week late Feb. Whales galore, perfect weather. The unit is as advertised, but a little cramped for two nearing the end of the week (and an earlier week on the Big worries with so much to do outside. We love waking up listening to the birds, watching for whales and turtles. We love the new furniture and new patio set for the lanai. The bed is super comfy.

We also loved our excursion on the Trilogy to the island of Lanai. It was amazing to watch a whale breach so close to the boat. The Captain and crew are extremely experienced. We loved driving to the Road to Hana and going hiking. The Old Lahaina Luau is the best! We enjoyed also dining out at Mama's Fish House, Cheeseburger in Paradise and the new Mill House at the Tropical Plantation! Best weather ever! Ocean Front Condo on Lahaina

We had a fantastic stay at Kuleana 706! The ocean is literally steps away and both our boys (10 and 12) loved the ocean access. There were boogie boards and beach chairs provided at the unit. The only downside was that there were only 2 beach towels in the unit and no air conditioning in the main room. The bedroom has a window unit which keeps the bedroom nice and cool. We saw lots of sea turtles in the ocean and one even crawled out right before us to sun itself on the shore. The beach is very quiet and almost felt like a private beach! There is a small pool onsite, but we never used it since the ocean was so close! We did not see a jacuzzi on the property. It would have been nice to have a map of the whole Kuleana property so we knew where everything was located.

Million dollar back yard

We stayed at 17 high end vacation rental spots in Maui over an 8 month period . This spot ranks at number 1 . Although small in square footage , the proximity to the ocean (literally 2 steps ) is worth a million dollars . This beach is pristine in color with all white sand as well as super private . I could literally stare at it all day and be super happy ! Sunset is right outside your door . The staff at epic are amazing and super helpful . Excellent for a Hawaiian Getaway
The condo was exactly as described...a few steps to the water, and a great view from the condo. Saw turtles every day, and were able to snorkel right from the near-private beach. Pool was excellent too, and the property was well maintained. Property Manager was helpful when we made a request. The only down side was the loudness of the air conditioner, but we preferred to sleep in the living room and fall asleep to the ocean, so didn't bother us. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beyond Expectations

My girlfriend and I were visiting Maui for a wedding. All of the other guests stayed at the Hyatt, but we opted for this rental. Well, it turned out to be one of the best decisions we could've made. While our friends were diving in an overcrowded and over-chlorinated pool, we simply walked out to a near-secluded beach in our backyard. All of the pictures are accurate.
Also, I don't think any other reviews mentioned this, but we saw at least 5 sea turtles while snorkeling! One of which was ancient. They were all super social and friendly. In fact, we spent most of our time trying to swim AWAY from them in an attempt to avoid getting too close to them! What was supposed to be a practice snorkel to test out our gear turned out to be better than the actual snorkeling trip!
The condo was well stocked and had everything we could need to to be comfortable. This place was great and if we visit Maui again, we're totally staying here.

Our condo was great. The location was perfect. With our infant daughter, we loved that fact that we could just open the sliders and walk onto the grassy lawn, then onto the beach and into the water. We watched many turtles daily from directly in front of the condo. Although, the condo was a bit tight for 3 adults and an infant, it had all the necessities. We really enjoyed our stay.

The condo was exactly as described. Fairly clean and well taken care of. Location is unbelievable. When we stayed there, it was quite windy and the ocean got pretty loud, but we still enjoyed it.
The sofa bed mattress in the living room is not that comfortable, but for a few days you can get over it......the rest is great.

Quaint and ground level condo

Great location a few miles north of downtown Lahaina. It's a ground-level condo so you can walk out to the small beach just a short stones throw away. We cooked breakfast one morning and all the appliances and items we needed were there. We ate sushi from miso phat on the patio outback one night which was really nice. The king-size bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner, while loud, kept the room quite cool. The bathroom is nice and overall we were very satisfied.

Back on Maui for our 11th wedding anniversary, we loved the location on the beach of 706 Kuleana. However we didn't get the service from the manager that we expected. Helen didn't get us a second key when requested and didn't get us help with the DVD player which we couldn't operate. Also the coffee maker wasn't clean and we ended up not using it.

My husband and I stayed at this property for 6 nights and loved every minute. The apartment and location is exactly like the photos and very quiet. I'm a clean freak and can honestly say the apartment was spotless and amenities/grounds well maintained. I would return and definitely recommend to friends and family. It was so lovely having a secluded beach right at your door step. Excellent customer service from the manager with detailed directions from the airport and handy information for our trip. Highly recommend!

Perfect Location...

We had a lovely vacation in Kuleana #706. The location of this unit is most desirable. 20 feet to the the beach and right in front of the "Premium" spot...on the sand under a large tree for shade. Premium because it is coveted by ever for it comfortable spot and shade. We sit there with the two beach chairs {provided by the unit} and watch our 6 year old build sand castle all day. The pool in the resort is heated to an ambient temperature, that I loved doing my laps there. The unit is so well appointed, clean and furnishings were new. I was very pleasantly surprised. On the negative side, the aircondition unit in the bedroom is noisy {does not bother me but my husband complains about it}, the unit faces West- so it gets hot in the afternoon {we have the fan running and shade down all day}they forgot to leave us the parking permit as well as the keys to open up the gates leading to the pool...very inconvenient. And I wished they would supply basic kitchen supply of salt, pepper, and some basic herbs! Also a couple of boogie boards would be nice. Otherwise, it was a lovely vacation.

Better than the Four Seasons!
So we spent 3 days there and another 3 days at the Four Seasons (it was a work conference). I have to say this was way better. Sure the 4 seasons is luxurious but you couldn't hear the soft waves all day and night. And the view was just breath taking. It was very relaxing and easy access to everything you need. And if you have kids the baby beach is only 10 min away. Only 2 negatives: 1- Shower head too low. 2- AC is only in the bedroom and it's loud.

This is a great condo in a wonderful location. The property is gorgeous, and the condo was in perfect condition. Being on the lower level is the best! You walk right out of your patio door to the ocean and the grass and it is steps from the beach access. The BBQ area is a short walk away as is the pool. The sunsets are incredible! Have a glass of wine and watch them every night. Perfect for a family of no more than four (young children can share the pullout), and of course for one couple.

This condo is really in the perfect location, I almost hate to post this out of fear that if too many people discover this place I'll never find room on the reservation calendar. Turtles every day, a near private beach, small surf for paddle boarding and on good days, surfing. Close to a McDonalds for a cheap breakfast and The Gazebo for an unforgettable breakfast. I have stayed at this community twice and will surely stay here again. You will not be disappointed!!

We have stayed at various condos in west Maui and this one rates at the top of our list. The only things that we wish this unit had was lounge chairs on the Lanai; basic cooking staples would be nice such as salt and pepper; and a few more towels when guest of 4 are staying over longer period of time. You might even consider removing the big dinning room table as it seems to take up a lot of space for the size of the unit. Other that that, it's a very nice unit in a great location.

Spectacular Location for Whale and Turtle Watching

This was our 3rd stay at Kuleana #706 and we truly LOVE the location. We love grilling while watching the sunset. We love watching the Whale and Turtle activity. We appreciated the Boogie boards and swam daily. We also enjoyed fantastic restaurants on the island.(The Plantation House, Mama's Fishhouse, The Sea House, Cheeseburger in Paradise, and Longhi. On our one cloudy day, we went on the Ocean Vodka tour, Surf and Goat Cheese and the Tedeschi Winery. We went hiking at the Iao Valley State Park. We loved our excursion on the Trilogy to Lanai and whale and spinner dolphin watching and then went snorkeling!
We look forward to returning and hope that 2 improvements can be made. (More comfortable and newer Lanai furniture and drapes that open and close easier) Mahalo!!!
